Ryan Bingham (George Clooney), is a crisis manager who loves to be on the go. When his company cuts its travel budget, he has to fight for his job. When this film came out, nobody was talking about flying shame and that's a good thing, because in 2019 you are still looking at these travel-loving people with slightly raised eyebrows. But come on, Up in the air is a very enjoyable film with a very original angle. Underneath the light-hearted layer is a tragedy that is very contemporary and that makes Up in the film not only fresh, but also relevant. It is a pity that the message (alone is also only alone) is rammed into the American way again in the last part.

Yes, a nice movie. Something different than the standard romantic comedies / drama films with a happy ending. It's not predictable for once with all those idiotic clichés. No, this one is quite refreshing and original with a rather open ending.
