The River plot
"Would He Descend To Her Level Or Would She Rise To His...?"
Swimming naked and hypothermic John Allen Spender, a simple man from the province, comes into contact on the bank of a river with Rosalee, a mysterious woman from the big city. John learns nothing more about her other than that she has been enjoying life to the fullest and that she is constantly followed by her lover's tame crow, who is serving a prison sentence for murder. Rosalee wants to offer John her body heat, but she is then exposed to the dangers of temptation, denial of her feelings and sex appeal, her sexual desires and inhibitions, and the endless desire to love John and even fall in love with him.
