An anxious, depressed kennel owner [Patrick Hivon] calls the wrong 'helpline' and falls for the voice of the employee [Piper Perabo]. When he discovers that she needs help due to a climate crisis, he offers her a helping hand, despite the fact that she is married. A pleasantly unconventional satirical comedy featuring an excellent Hivon, who skillfully strikes a balance between comedy and drama, and a charming Perabo. For lovers of deadpan humor right through to the credits (voiced by Stephen de Oliveira).

On the one hand, a delightfully absurd story – exactly on the right side of the believable/unbelievable balance. And it is, above all, actually a very likeable story. On the other hand, it doesn't really amount to anything – someone on IMDb asks if the script was written by a beta version of a film, and there is definitely some truth to that. Still, Hivon and Perabo are funny together, and the film happily floats along on that. It is a shame that the idyllic image from the poster doesn't really come through; that feels a bit like a deception.
