Omar the Tentmaker plot
Omar the Tentmaker, who wrote the first Iranian solar calendar around 1073 AD, becomes an outcast because of his radical writings and improved calendar. Omar's wife Shireen, whom he secretly married and impregnated, is coveted by the Shah, who has her taken to his harem. She repels the Shah and is thrown into prison, where she gives birth to a daughter. The daughter, named Little Shireen, is smuggled out of prison and taken to Omar, though he is unaware that the baby is his daughter.
