Jacqueline plot

Jacqueline (Johanna Von Koczian) sings in a smoky night spot in the avant-garde district of the Bavarian capital Munich. There she meets a man, Paul (Walter Reyer), who claims to be a drifter who has written a musical farce. Although he is deeply in love with her and she is also quite fond of him, she still throws him out the door, withholding his piece. She tries to pass it on to a theater director, who immediately recognizes its quality, because in reality Paul is a well-known writer and composer.
