In 1903, Dr. Bailey meets a strange woman on the train and then learns that she died under mysterious circumstances. He befriends the Bedereaux family, all members of which exhibit neurotic and secretive behavior. The beauty of Alida Bedereaux draws him deeper and deeper into their world. But who is dangerous?
