The 'Ames Company' does everything in its power to prevent Uncle Cedric Ames from making decisions or coming to work. This is in the best interest of him and the company. The trouble begins when Cedric first hires the shady Joe Cork as his personal assistant and then Minnie Hawkins, who loves fashion. Cedric buys Minnie a clothing store, where Colleen Reilly is the accountant, and a scandal soon follows.
