The Warning plot
In December 2011, a futuristic-looking object was found in a Mayan temple in Mexico. By examining the object, it was discovered that the object contained images. The content was several hours of video footage announcing the end of the world. Research into who made the video and who could be seen in it leads to some names. But all the people who have something to do with the video have suddenly disappeared.
