The Jolly Monkey plot

Forty years ago, families began disappearing near the secluded Jolly Monkey Motel. After their mother’s death, Jenny and Marshall return to the dilapidated motel to fix it up and discuss what to do with the building. It's not exactly a mystery where a film like The Jolly Monkey draws its inspiration, but thankfully, director Ryan Ebert uses it differently. For example, we find ourselves in a hotel where guests are being murdered. The first murder looks gruesome, but then the viewer discovers that they're all the same. What remains is a bland, atmosphere-less affair with poor acting, ridiculous plot twists, and an overly long runtime.
