The Dead Thing plot

Stuck in a downward spiral of shallow hookups, Alex is surprised when her dating app leads her into the arms of a mysterious, charming young man named Kyle. Despite their night of passion, the mystery man is nowhere to be found as the sun rises. Alex sets out to find the one person who made her feel alive. Through her own investigation, she reconnects with Kyle, but also unearths a horrifying supernatural secret. The pair are soon caught up in a whirlwind of obsession, dependency, lust, and infatuation that has dire consequences.
