Solid State plot

Be careful what you touch! A large meteor is moving super fast towards Earth. A space defense launches a missile that appears to destroy the meteor. But a small piece of meteorite ends up in a remote part of Europe. The van of an up-and-coming American rock band, touring Europe, breaks down, right near the meteor. The area is eerily quiet and the band finds indications that there are people in the area, but finds no one. Gradually, they begin to piece together the pieces of the puzzle, but the meteor apparently has a deadly effect on them.
