A frustrating and uninteresting elaboration of a half-baked thriller. Director Daina Reid does everything but create atmosphere or develop suspense, leaving the viewer with a spoiled brat and a mother who uncritically tolerates everything with a pat on the back. At times, it's truly unbelievable how Sarah Snook (who, incidentally, does what she can as an actress, both emotionally and physically) ultimately ends up in her predicament, as the viewer is left with the feeling that she has only herself to blame. The musical choices are effective and the acting is decent, but Run Rabbit Run ultimately proves to be anything but a pleasant film experience.

The course 'Credibility Is the Mother of All Stories' unfortunately passed this film, its makers, and actors by. No matter how hard I tried to see Sarah Snook as a mother or an amniotic fluid expert, I kept bumping into an event, dialogue, or cause-and-effect sequence that I would never encounter in reality. Snook did shine in Predestination, by the way, so she can certainly act.
The little daughter naturally has to go off the rails, as does the mother herself, but it degenerates too much into moments where I lose track of the story and think, "I don't believe any of this anymore." It was all far too contrived. Yes, I do understand the low rating for this film.
