"Eleven killed. One interview request."
Journalist Baek Sun-ju is searching for a scoop. Psychiatrist Lee Young-hoon claims to be a serial killer and asks Sun-ju for an interview. After much deliberation, she goes to a hotel room for the interview and his confession. As their conversation progresses, Sun-ju senses something is wrong and wants to run away. Young-hoon tells her that if she stops the interview, someone else will be murdered.

Journalist Seon-joo [Cho Yeo-jeong] receives an interview request from a man [Jung Sung-il] who claims to have committed 11 murders. She has something to prove and can't resist, though she does enlist the help of her police lover [Kim Tae-han] to monitor the conversation and protect her. An intriguing psychological game ensues, and thanks to Cho's beautiful, intelligent visual style and the excellent ensemble work, the static setting doesn't get in the way of a healthy dose of suspense.

Watched late last night.
Exciting, atmospheric setting, good plot, good suspense.
I could even almost muster some understanding for the psychiatrist (the murderer) for wanting to relieve patients of the resentment towards the perpetrator, who had abruptly taken their loved one away or inflicted the most horrific things upon them. Too horrific for words. How far would you go yourself if you were that person? is the ethical and unorthodox question you can ask yourself.
I therefore found the idea behind the story strong and well thought out. Original, in an era where little originality is conceived anymore.
It is definitely worth a look!
My 4 stars are well deserved.
