La Machine plot
The Machine from the title allows a good-natured brain specialist (Depardieu) to switch brains with a female killer (Bourdon) and vice versa. The therapeutically intended experiment was supposed to last a few minutes, but has turned out to be irreversible for the time being. He frantically tries to familiarize himself with his own body. From one moment to the next he is literally not himself anymore. The husband's wife (Baye) is initially unaware, but is inevitably in mortal danger.
