"Some nightmares never end"
Charlie is a notorious serial killer known as the Midnight Mangler. He's trapped in a time loop, reliving the same violent night at a diner over and over again. Initially, Charlie embraces his horrific urges, but soon becomes desperate to escape the endless nightmare. As the bodies pile up and his sanity crumbles, he tries everything to break the time loop.

Serial killer Charlie "The Mangler" (Brendan Fehr) visits the Killer Cafe (with Majandra Delfino as waitress and former MMA fighter Tait Fletcher as cook) and does his thing. To his great surprise, he immediately finds himself back at the cafe door, and everyone else there is behaving in exactly the same way. Charlie has fallen into a time loop and is desperately trying to figure out how to break it. Given his "work history," he has an idea, but the choices are numerous. This dark comedy relies on a decent joke that, with a better director, could have yielded a decent film in a shorter format. Fehr lacks comedic flair, and the plot is too thin for a full-length film.

An entertaining, original horror film that creatively handles its premise, though at 108 minutes it runs a bit too long. Director Keith Jardine also fails to impress with the horror elements, as Kill Me Again is unfortunately nowhere near exciting, gory, or sensational. Remarkably, the filmmakers always find a way to draw the viewer's attention to the screen and thus make good use of the premise. The final outcome, however, is rather simple and seems far-fetched. Furthermore, the visual direction remains somewhat flat, and the film could have used more practical effects. Brendan Fehr is also good in his role and creates several comical situations.

I like it; it borrows the tricks of Groundhog's Day and Happy Death Day Happy Death Day (Film, 2017) but does it from the perspective of the psychopath, and it's quite well done. It's clearly an independent film, but I can relate to it this way.
