Night after night, a family of four is tormented by an invisible presence in their home — or so it seems. While the parents struggle to connect with their increasingly withdrawn son, they eagerly await the return of their eldest daughter from university. But her homecoming soon turns into a confrontation when she urges the family to leave the house and escape the nightly horrors they have seemingly learned to live with.
