Dwelling plot
Occultist Ellie and her fiancé Gavin purposefully move to a haunted house to communicate with the other side. With her sister River institutionalized, the couple gains custody of her gifted daughter Izzy. Despite their newfound situation, Ellie is willing to endanger her family by reaching out to her late mother. Also residing in the house is the evil spirit Amara who is trapped in a black-painted mirror, but is released by Ellie. As Amara grows stronger, so does the threat to the family, and Ellie must ultimately decide what to let go of: her past or her future.
