Brutal plot

A young deputy sheriff, Zoe Adams (Sarah Thompson), investigates a number of murders and soon learns that a serial killer is on the run. While she and her boss, Sheriff Jimmy Fleck (Jeffrey Combs), feel the pressure of finding the killer, their love affair begins to fall apart. Meanwhile, Zoe begins to team up with the autistic bloodhound trainer, Leroy Calhoun (Michael Berryman), and together they combine the dots between the killer and the strange clues. With Zoe's judgment and Leroy's amazing math talents, they eventually solve the riddle and track down the clever killer. But when Zoe discovers she is the ultimate target and becomes obsessed with the killer, the question is whether the mentally handicapped Leroy can save her before it's too late.
