Yohan - Barnevandreren plot
Norway, around 1890. Because his father has to take a ship to America, 10-year-old Yohan decides to come up with a plan to gather the necessary money. However, his jealous brother has very different plans; Unbeknownst to his parents, he signs a contract with the result that Yohan ends up on a farm to work. During his journey to the farm (which is far from his home), Yohan faces various fears as well as danger. Along the way, he meets two other children; 8-year-old Anna and her brother. Yohan finally arrives at the farm along with several other children who are also wandering around. His job is to protect the farm from bears and wolves. His boss, Nome, is a hard and unfeeling man. Then, when an incident occurs, Yohan, Anna and her brother try to escape.
