Mustache plot
It is the mid-1990s in Northern California, and 13-year-old Pakistani-American Ilyas is in the midst of a massive crisis — his parents have taken him out of his comfortable Islamic private school, and now he must face life at a public school. Ilyas's fears about going to public school are amplified by his insecurities due to his inescapable, pre-pubescent mustache. Ilyas hatches a hilarious plan to return to his old school — but he must also learn to accept himself.
