Wolfskinder plot
1947. A former Prussian village under Soviet occupation. When the mother of 14-year-old Hans and his 9-year-old brother Karl dies of starvation, the two try to move to Lithuania, where some farmers are sympathetic to German children. But on their flight, the two brothers are ambushed and separated from each other. Hans sets out in search of Karl and a group of children join him during his search. They now have to fight the weather, hunger and disease.
