Wierook en Tranen plot

West Flanders, 1940. The Germans have invaded Belgium. Thousands of people flee to France in panic. Among them is little Waldo, 10 years old, and his parents. They travel through the region of Poperinge and Ypres to the border. There, Waldo's parents are killed in a bombing raid. Waldo heads to the coast with his fourteen-year-old girl next door, Vera. A journey with a tragic end.
