Where the Pavement Ends plot
Reverend Spener is a missionary in the South Pacific. However, his daughter Matilda wants to return to civilization. Captain Hull Gregson has a crush on Matilda and so joins Rev. Spener's church. The vicar promises Captain Gregson the hand of his daughter, but she has fallen in love with the native chief Motauri.
