"The only thing he wanted was money. What he found was worth much more."

It's 1995 in a war-torn Bosnia. Ethnic cleansing and genocide are the order of the day in this devastated country. Sharkey is a rude Englishman who impersonates a UNESCO aid worker. In reality, he is smuggling children for the Russian mafia. One day he meets the orphan Vlalo and decides to smuggle him to Poland. A bond develops between the two. When Sharkey finds out in Poland that the gangsters want to sell the boy for a sinister purpose, he puts his life on the line...
