The revolution attempt of the Polish Socialist Party in 1905 failed. The film describes the moral conflict of a party member who is ordered to liquidate a collaborator, although he has doubts about his guilt. He is a young and inexperienced man. He does his job as a murderer out of idealism, and for the love of a woman.
