Virtuous Liars plot

"SMART MELODRAMA WITH A PUNCH!"

Edith gives up her artistic ambitions and marries Jack Banton. Banton turns out to be a lover of women and leaves her. Edith is back on track with her career and a friend advises her that it's better to say she's a widow. Her work becomes a success thanks to Josiah Wright and they fall in love. Edith decides to tell her that she is not a widow, but that her husband has left her. Josiah is so shocked that his weak heart gives out and leaves her a large sum of money. Banton has heard of her legacy and reappears.
