Valentín plot

"Cupid just turned eight."

Argentina, early 1960s. 9-year-old Valentín lives with his grandmother. His mother disappeared from his life shortly after his birth. And his father is busy with his career and therefore travels a lot. When his father comes by, it is usually to introduce a new girlfriend to Valentín. Valentín dreams of becoming an astronaut, but he also dreams that his father will find a girlfriend who is not only nice to his father but also to him. And then his father comes home with Leticia, finally a girlfriend who likes Valentín, but unfortunately the relationship does not last. As a result, he feels lonely and abandoned by both Leticia and his father. The only place where he finds love and warmth is with his boyfriend Roberto and with jazz musician Rufo.
