Undercurrent plot
Kanae has taken over the family bathhouse business and lives a happy life with her husband Satoru, until one day he suddenly disappears. Kanae is at her wits' end, but still manages to reopen the temporarily closed bathhouse. A few days later, a mysterious man, Hori, appears with no place to stay. He is allowed to come live with Kanae and work for her in the bathhouse. While Kanae tries to get back into a peaceful routine in her life, private investigator Yamazaki tries to track down Satoru's whereabouts.
