"Discover what might have been."
Due to the pandemic, the elderly Kristófer has to close his restaurant. As the world slows down around him, he receives a message from Miko, a woman he dated before her mysterious disappearance when he was a student in London. Knowing full well that his time is running out, Kristófer travels to England and Japan to find her.

Wonderful film that, despite its "meandering character", never bores for a moment during its 2-hour running time.
I'd guess that about 60% of the film is set in the past, with the storyline being the developing relationship between ex-student and apprentice chef Kristófer (in a Japanese restaurant) and the teasingly seductive Psychology student Miko (daughter of the boss). The chemistry between the young leads made me blush and long for my own younger years 
The remaining 40% is reserved for the search in the recent Corona period in Japan for Miko, who disappeared oh-so suddenly in that now distant past.

Beautiful film by Icelandic director Baltasar Kormákur, but unfortunately the script lets it down a bit at crucial moments, which means the necessary emotional impact is lacking. Nevertheless very enjoyable, with especially a very beautiful middle section. The slow beginning and manipulative ending are unfortunately somewhat less.

Reasonable film about a man with early Alzheimer's who travels to find a woman from his past. A love story that takes place in the present and the past. Despite the slow pace, the film is quite full (many countries and cultures pass by). Sometimes a bit long-winded and the chemistry between the two lovers was lacking.
