Torowisko plot

The promises of the new order seem unattainable to Maria. Caught in a provincial town, in the banal routine of everyday life, there are few options for escape. Her best - and only - friend Krystyna is more adventurous and enterprising, as well as determined to leave. Together they hitchhike to the city regularly. When they meet a truck driver there, whom Maria falls in love with, it drives a wedge between the two friends. And when Maria accidentally witnesses Krystyna's rape, it means the end of the friendship...
