Tokyo no Eiyu plot

The widower and businessman Nemoto has one son, Kanichi, when he remarries a widow who also already has a son and a daughter. However, his affairs turn out to be somewhat shady and as a result, he suddenly disappears, leaving behind his new wife with the three children. To make ends meet, she becomes a hostess in a bar, something she tries to hide from the children.
