Thoroughbred plot

Joan works at a horse farm. She takes care of the young, neglected thoroughbred stallion Stormalong. Due to her good care, Stormalong wins more and more races. He is even becoming a favorite for the Melbourne Cup, the most important Australian horse race of the year. However, that attracts the attention of a gambling syndicate. They don't want Stormalong to win the race.
