The Zero Years plot
"Today as tomorrow and as yesterday…"
Today - imagined as tomorrow as well as yesterday. Four women who were sterilized, under constant medication and under surveillance, are serving their sentences in a government-run brothel. Their job is to have sex with the customers and also beat them without mercy. Their mutual relations reach a critical point, as food and drink are scarce and their shelters are about to collapse. Nothing seems to exist outside. For them there are only nightmare visions, re-enacted miscarriages and rapes, injections and nausea. Their dream - even though they are sterilized - is to have a child. When one day a customer disappears, the interrogations begin.
