The Spectacle Maker plot

Peter, a crippled boy who needs a crutch to walk, dreams of being able to dance like all other children. His grandfather, Hans Schmidt, the eyeglass maker of the village, receives an offer from a mysterious man who walks into his shop. He has to make a lens that makes everything and everyone look beautiful. In return, his shop is richly filled with gold. Hans decides to give in, if only to repair Peter's leg, but first he will have to learn what real beauty really is.
