The Sideshow plot

The dwarf PW Melrose is a circus operator. Melrose is threatened by his angry competitor because he has surpassed him in selling tickets. Unbeknownst to Melrose, this competitor has a saboteur working for him who causes accidents in the hopes that the appreciation of Melrose's circus will fall. Meanwhile, Melrose has hired the beautiful former trapeze artist 'Queenie' Pat Parker, whom he has a crush on, as an assistant to the illusionist Gandhi.
