The Roof plot

Ray, a teenager from Northern Cheyenne, is sent to live with his grandfather Nick. Nick is obsessed with repairing the roof of his house, despite Ray's mother telling him not to because he might fall and hurt himself. Ray finds Nick's behavior strange, partly because he turned off the phone because it was ringing too much. Despite this, Ray chooses to care for Nick should he attempt to repair the roof again.
