The Right Way plot
Two boys get into trouble with the law and end up in prison. One, who grew up poor in the slums, goes to a reform school and is given tips on how to become a master criminal. When he is released, he refines his criminal skills, but an informant betrays him and he ends up in an adult prison, where he is subjected to highly regulated behavior, inhumane conditions, and ruthless guards. The second boy, from a wealthy family, is sent to prison for forging his father's signature. When a gang member is wrongly sentenced to death for the murder of the informant, the two boys escape to try to clear his name and find the real killer.
