The Lucky Star plot

The story is set in the Netherlands during the Second World War, where the life of a Jewish Goldberg family is cruelly disrupted by the arrival of the German occupier. 13-year-old David Goldberg is a growing boy with vivid fantasies about the Wild West. He dreams of a future as a heroic sheriff. With the help of a real revolver he somehow manages to give shape to his dream, even though the 'sheriff star' is in reality a yellow Star of David...
