The Last New Yorker plot

"You're never too broke to fall in love."

Seventies Lenny and Ruben have been friends with seasoned New Yorkers all their lives. The New York where they grew up is fading: the places they have been visiting for years have become refuges from the changes that are happening around them. But when they notice that more and more of these places are disappearing, they begin to realize that they themselves do not have eternal life. Lenny decides to make one last attempt to find what he never had: true love.
