The Cossacks plot

Lukashka is a young Cossack who is more interested in the feminine beauty than in the war. His father Ivan thinks this is terrible and so does Lukashka's beloved Maryana, because she just wants him to be like all other Cossacks. Although Lukashka proves himself by catching horse thieves, his path and Maryana's are not smooth sailing until they can embrace each other.
