"A Beautiful Girl- Gambling with one man for the love of another, until her selfishness plunged them into a crisis of disgrace!"

During the height of the American Depression, married housewife Elsa Carlyle loses $10,000 gambling. This money came from the pot of a local charitable division. Elsa panics about this. Desperate Elsa then uses her charms to get this amount of money from local art collector Hardy Livingstone. Hardy gives her the money, but he expects Elsa to become his mistress.
