I've seen a handful of Louise Brooks' fine films from the silent film era, such as Die Büchse der Pandora (4½*) and Tagebuch einer Verlorenen (5*), both from 1929. So I was curious about her experiences in the previous years. Unfortunately, the film star plays no more than a glorified supporting role, which – as the title already reveals – is mainly about her companion during a stay in England. Quite a nice movie, but my disappointment remains.
