The Challenge plot

A US satellite crashes into an uninhabited area in the Pacific Ocean. When this incident threatens to degenerate into a war, the United States and the Asian country reach an unusual agreement. Both countries send one man to a deserted tropical island to fight to the death. Vietnam veteran Jacob Gallery (Darren McGavin) and Asian Yuro (Mako) are selected and a bond develops between the two on the island.
