The Candidate plot
An important senator becomes embroiled in a web of excess, intrigue and corruption that can seriously damage his career. He has relationships with three different women, one of whom gets pregnant. She is taken by a friend to a second-rate abortion clinic, where the girl is fatally beaten during the treatment.
