The Calling plot

Leroy grew up in abject poverty as a boy. Even during his young life he is haunted by supernatural things and strange voices. Until his 22nd year he flees from this. However, as soon as he is supernaturally healed after an apparently fatal accident, he cannot deny his powers. As an evangelist he now wants to continue to let others benefit from his gift. In no time, he becomes the greatest "healer" in the United States and well-known to the big stars such as Mae West. His "healings" grow into huge shows until it all gets too much for him. More and more enemies come and the ultimate betrayal becomes his part. Now it comes down to it. How strong is his faith really? He will have to answer to his pride, to his faith but above all to "The Spirit".
