The Bush Cinderella plot

Mary's mother dies when Mary is just a baby and she grows up with another family. When her uncle dies, Mary is the only heir. The condition is that she reports to a lawyer before a certain time. Her uncle's housekeeper wants the inheritance herself and kidnaps Mary to prevent her from reaching the lawyer in time.
