"The beauty of creating life. The freedom to give it away..."

Tish and Tad make a happy couple and enjoy their free life in California. When they get to know the Wilcox couple, it turns out that they cannot have children and Tish is willing to be a surrogate mother for them. There seems to be no problem if Tish does indeed become pregnant, but along the way Suzanne Wilcox tries to exert an increasing influence on the lives of Tish and Tad.
