The Awakening Land plot

Tired of all the misery in her life, Sayward Luckett Wheeler and her three children decide to join a group of people heading west to start a new life. They have a hard time along the way. There is a shortage of water, they are attacked by Indians and within the traveling group quarrels begin to arise.
