Tenohira no Shôsetsu plot

Compilation of four short films: "The man who does not laugh": story of a man and his bedridden wife who repeatedly asks him to chat on her legs. "Thank you": the prostitute Kikuko relives the time when she was sold and driven to town in the bus of driver Arigatosan. "Japanese Anna": A man's wallet is stolen by a Russian woman. He rents a room next door to her and becomes mesmerized by peeking into her room. "Immortality": An old man sits under an old tree under which his girlfriend committed suicide and relives his childhood.
