Tannbach plot

Miniseries about the fictional village of Tannbach on the Bavarian-Thuringian border. The series follows the fortunes of the inhabitants of the village just before the capitulation of the German Empire until the post-war period, when the village is divided into an American and a Russian controlled part. The first part is about the last days of the war before the capitulation and the first days after the capitulation. The village is occupied by American troops. The second part deals with land reform. The Russians expropriate the land of landowners with more than 100 ha. ground. The third part concerns the period 1948-1952. The new border between east and west is formed by the river that bisects Tannbach. While the borders are still open, residents are trying to resume their lives under the changed circumstances.
